What is Reiki?
Reiki is a Japanese word pronounced “ray-key”. Rei means universal. Ki means life force energy. Therefore, Reiki means universal life force energy. The energy healing benefits of Reiki must be channeled through a practitioner who has been attuned and are beneficial to those who wish to receive. A Reiki Practitioner acts as a channel through which the universal life force energy flows through the top of the head and out of the palms. Through light touch or simply holding the hands above the recipient’s body, the Reiki Practitioner offers universal life force energy with the intention to heal. Reiki or “healing touch” is one of the oldest alternative treatment modalities accepted by western medicine and has roots in Zen Buddhism.
How can Reiki help me?
Reiki can help you through blockages in your life. Blockages can be anything from a feeling “stuck” in life to a specific health issue such as pain, joint pain, recurrent or chronic illness. Through seeking out a Reiki treatment you are taking responsibility for your healing. Be open to how Reiki can help you!
What does a Reiki treatment feel like?
Reiki can feel warm or hot to some people, and very relaxing and calming. Most find it a catalyst to deep meditation. Some feel no physical sensation at all during treatment. Reiki is received during a treatment if you are willing and open to it whether you feel anything. Consistent Reiki treatments lead to long-lasting balance and healing.
What makes me a qualified Reiki Level II Practitioner?
My name is Jessica, and my friends call me Jes. I am a Bachelor’s prepared Registered Nurse and have been attuned to Reiki since 2017. My Reiki lineage is through the Usui Shiki Ryoho Line and my Master Teacher is Robin Morlock. I am attuned to First and Second Degree.
How many Reiki session do I need and how long is a session?
I recommend a session every other week for a total of three sessions to work through stagnant energy and begin feeling lasting change. Sessions can be 30 or 60 minutes.
